🔍 1. What We Collect
We collect the following types of data:
a. Account Information
- • Name (optional)
- • Email address
- • Password (encrypted)
- • IP address (for fraud/security prevention)
b. Generated & Uploaded Content
- • AI prompt history
- • Project metadata (e.g. characters, scenes, lore)
- • Files you upload (e.g. documents, images)
- • Generated outputs (text, images, portraits)
c. Payment Data
- • We do not store your full credit card info.
- • Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

d. Usage Analytics
- • Page views and feature usage (via tools like PostHog, Vercel Analytics, or Google Analytics)
- • Device and browser type
- • Referral source
📦 2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- • Provide and personalize the Mythilo experience
- • Remember your story world and creative context
- • Track your credit usage and subscriptions
- • Communicate product updates or support messages
- • Improve the platform based on aggregate usage
We never:
- • Sell your data
- • Use your private content to train AI models
- • Display your content publicly without permission
🔐 3. Data Security
We take steps to protect your data, including:
- • Encrypted communication via HTTPS
- • Secure password hashing (e.g. bcrypt)
- • Role-based access control for internal systems
- • Isolation of private projects and files
However, no platform is 100% secure. You use Mythilo at your own risk, and you're responsible for safeguarding your account.
💬 4. AI Content & Privacy
Mythilo uses OpenAI's GPT-4o and other models to generate content. Prompts and context are sent to these third-party APIs temporarily to generate responses.
- • Your data is not stored or retained by OpenAI beyond the session unless otherwise noted by their policy.
- • We do not use your content to train any AI models.

🧽 5. Data Deletion
You can delete:
- • Individual projects and files via your dashboard
- • Your entire account (and all associated data) by emailing us at privacy@mythilo.ai
Upon deletion, your data is purged from our primary systems within 7 business days. Backups may persist briefly but are wiped in accordance with our retention policy.
🌍 6. GDPR, CCPA & Global Users
If you're in the EU or California:
- • You have the right to access, modify, delete, or export your data.
- • Contact privacy@mythilo.ai for any such requests.
We aim to comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other major privacy frameworks.
📝 7. Policy Updates
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. When we do, we'll update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
If changes are major, we'll notify you directly.
